This is the end/beginning of learnin 2.0

Finished Topic 6 today! Found a fun photo, giving a message to Obama.
Also, I posted http://www.revolutionhealth.com/ to Sharing New Web 2.0 Sites.
I am always looking for research on medications and treatments. This one came
highly rated. I had posted www.mahshelf.com since I'm really into graphic novels
and would love to submit work there sometime. Alas, Steve B had already posted it.
Good thing about a repeated post, was I did learn how to delete the link from the page.

Topic 5

Downloaded an engaging podcast that I heard on NPR. Unfortunately, I couldn't
find it at the Chicago NPR. Picked it up up from my college station at KUNC 91.5.
I first heard it and downloaded on Oct 16. Being Autistic, Being Human.
It's a program called Speaking on Faith with Krista Tippett.

Topic 4

Learning this info was VERY important to me.
I've worked with video for over ten years
and hoarded the footage. Critically shy about
my work. Yuck. Now I can, at least, attempt
to put it out there before I expire!

My concern was that my footage might be used
improperly. Altered visually or some sort.
Now I want to share a video with a friend in
France. She has shared her work on blog.
So I can do this and mark it "private".
Cool. Security works for me.

Tagging

Well, I had an abbreviated session in learning to tag.
I joined delicious and librarything.com. In both, I created tags.
Librarything, tagged Olivier Sacks book, Musicophilia.

Ways in which I could use in libary?
Recently, I worked with Patti Smolin in Reference
to find bilingual books to add to collection. Some were out of print.
I searched for tiltles on amazon.com and booksellers from Scandanavia.
Hard to find as well as order. I will add tags from my searches
to make things more easy!

Wiki - collaboration!

Just scanned through Beyond the Silos of the LAMs. Coool!
For one thing, I have been involved on many collaborative
projects. In most, we had to have all people present to be on
the same page. Wiki is fantastic, though in my fault-finding ways- I always have doubts.

Is there any way that information can be altered without permission? Like with the 12 year old scammer-types?
On that note, from the article:
www.oclc.org/programs/publications/reports/2008-05.pdf
That would be fatal to harm archives or museum collection. Just wondering.

All in all, to be able to share with people globally wins my approval.
